The Beatles – A Hard Day’s Night – Genuine 1964 UK 1st STEREO pressing– the very earliest 1st issue with chunky typeface labels and yellow & Black Parlophone rim labels, ‘Recording First Published…’ and with ‘Sold in UK’ label has rare MT tax code. Catalogue number PCS 3058
This ultra rare copy of A Hard Day’s Night is from the very first batch of STEREO records pressed. Manufactured ahead of the 10th July 1964 release date.
This copy has only received a few plays in its 55 year history.
A true audiophile copy in the original dynamic stereo.
A seminal album and one of their best - A Hard Day’s Night was the first ever album where artist and composer wrote and performed all their songs.

Visual: EXCELLENT+
Appears virtually mint when viewed in strong daylight with the vinyl still retaining its high gloss sheen. Under strong daylight it is difficult to detect any marks at all, however under prolonged and close inspection some faint marks become apparent. Under a strong halogen desk light only very light surface marks become visible. Grades at excellent + but a near mint grading would not be entirely unreasonable. The record lies 100% flat on the turntable.
Labels: EXC+/MINT-
A superb set of these very early ‘chunky typeface’ labels showing minimal wear. On close inspection I detected some very light spindle trails but it is clear that this record has only been played a few times since it was purchased back in the summer of 1964. There is no wear or soiling to any of the label text which appears clean and fresh. Carries the ultra rare MT tax code on side 1.
Audio: MINT-
Stunning audio throughout. Very little to fault with totally unworn music signals. The stereo separation on these early UK 1st pressings is a joy to behold. Incredibly rich analogue sound with a unique ‘spacial’ sound. All tracks play superbly. If I Fell, Things We Said Today and And I Love Her sound particularly impressive on this original and very early 1st pressing. It will not disappoint. There are no pops or ticks and needless to say the record does not jump or stick.

EXCELLENT
An original and ultra-rare UK 1st issue STEREO 1964 Garrod & Lofthouse patents pending cover. The front panel still retains its high gloss laminate sheen and is unworn with only a few light thumbnail creases towards the opening edge. Corners show very little wear and are mainly sharp. The back panel grades at excellent minus and shows signs of ageing with some light discoloration. There is some bending to the rear panel along the opening edge. All flipbacks are strong and intact and there is no writing or personalization to any part of the cover. Spine is undamaged with the writing clearly visible. These early stereo covers are now extremely difficult to find in this truly excellent condition.
