Description

THE BEATLES - Songs from the film "A HARD DAY'S NIGHT"
A little played and superb vinyl condition copy of this 1964 UK 1st press Beatles classic with lovely flipback outer and flawless STEREO sound quality throughout
Label number : PCS 3058 Matrix numbers : YEX 126-1, YEX 127-1 Stampers :  2 GM  /  1 0
The condition of the vinyl is excellent plus (EX+) - many would grade as "near mint" I am sure - the weighty vinyl has retained it's original gorgeous jet black sheen and remains completely flat. In normal daylight each side of the vinyl comes across as completely unmarked, and even with very close inspection under a bright light I am only able to just detect just a couple of small and extremely faint paper scuff grazes - nothing really and amazing for a Beatles 1st press of this age.  Near mint (NM) condition labels - pristine with not even the hint of a single rogue spindle trail. The "M" and "T" tax codes, synonymous with 1st pressings, are lightly embossed upon the side 1 label.  Clearly this is a record that has been little played (a few times only in my estimation) and meticulously cared for.  Very good plus (VG+) condition original 1st press Garrod & Lofthouse front-side laminated flipback outer sleeve with firm and unscuffed edges, firm spine with all spine text fully intact, near perfectly defined right angle corners with just some mild rubbing on the bottom right corner, firm opening edges but with some mild occasional fraying on the front-side opening edge, all flipbacks in great order still, no laminate lift, no laminate or cardboard creasing apart from a single 9cm diagonal mild "crinkle" towards the bottom left corner on the reverse side, and all art work, colours, photos and sleeve text remaining in impressively vibrant and clearly defined condition still. Apart from the aforementioned the only other blemish is some mild age discolouration on the front side towards the top edge and again on the reverse side top and side flipbacks. Do take a good look at my photos...this copy remains highly presentable and it is hard to believe that this sleeve is now 62 years of age!  Wonderful, near mint (NM) STEREO audio quality with no skips, jumps, repeats, sticks, distortion, clicks or background interference - amazing! You may come across just the hint of some very, very background crackle (non-obvious) during a couple of the intermissions on side 1 but this is little more more than what you would expect when playing a brand new record for the very first time. Great tone and clarity throughout with every track remaining a terrific listen. Comes with original "USE EMITEX" die-cut poly-lined inner sleeve with "MADE IN ENGLAND" horizontal text, with no splits or tears, barely any age discolouration or creasing and remaining in great condition.  Note that I always insert the vinyl into a poly-lined plain white sleeve in order to protect the original.
The original flipback outer sleeve is impressive but it's the condition of the little played vinyl and flawless stereo sound quality that make this copy so highly collectable.
POSTAGE COSTS :   For the UK £3.38 using Royal Mail tracked 48 (ebay "Simple Delivery");  for continental Europe £11 using Royal Mail 1st class tracked; and for the rest of the world £17 using Royal Mail 1st class tracked.
I do provide posting and packaging discounts for multiple purchases. I make no profit from postage.Note that I always insert the vinyl into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me. If you require any further information, including photos, then let me know and I'll do my best to oblige.
