Description
The time has come for me to part with my 50 year old Beatles collection. This collection consists of LP's, 45's, picture sleeves, EP's, 12" singles, picture discs, sealed LP's, test pressings, acetates, promos, box sets, and CD's from the US and the UK. The collection also includes vinyl and CD's from John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Ringo Starr, and Apple artists. There are numerous rarities in this collection. The vast majority of the vinyl is in NM- to NM condition; I tried not to acquire anything with a grade below that, or attempted to upgrade, although a few of the extremely hard to find items I was unable to upgrade and will have a grade below that. If you are a Beatles collector, be sure to bookmark me as the vinyl I'll be listing will surely be of interest. Here we go; a splendid time is guaranteed for all.
John Lennon-"Plastic Ono Band" LP, Apple SW-3372, released in 1970. This is a very scarce test pressing. Authentic, with "Bell Sound" stamped in the dead wax, along with the asterisk denoting a L.A. pressing. The catalog number is written in also. Vinyl, VISUALLY graded by Goldmine standards, is in weak VG condition with light marks on both sides. While I don't see anything that would affect play, there is a notation on the side two label stating "last cut My Mummy scratched". Currently I have no way to test it. When I obtained this is came in a ragged inner sleeve, held together by one corner, with the info sheet, with it's typical writing and scribbles, taped to one side. I've put it in another inner sleeve. It also didn't come with a cover. I've also included a non-matching cover. Classic Lennon, in a very rare format. Test pressings are extremely hard to find.
