Description
JOHN LENNON/PLASTIC ONO BAND
"POWER TO THE PEOPLE" b/w "OPEN YOUR BOX"
7" single...pressed in Australia...on Apple (distributed by E.M.I. [Australia] Ltd. here...catalogue number: APPLE-9488)...
Original first pressing...with the words "An E.M.I. Recording" at the bottom of the label on the 'A' side. In order for there to be room for the full production credits there, the second pressing had "An EMI Recording" printed to the left of the centre-hole, and the productions credits fleshed out: on this first one they state "Prod.by Phil Spector/John & Yoko"...on the second edition they were worded: "Produced by Phil Spector/John and Yoko".
Never in pic sleeve here...comes in its original (correct-design for 1971) Aussie Apple company sleeve.
...(released here 6th May 1971)...

Side One: 7XAPA1989. CQ 7YCE21527
Side Two: 7XAPA1990. CQ 7YCE21528
