THE BEATLES
'I WANT TO HOLD YOUR AND'/'THIS BOY'
ULTRA-RARE 1968 UK 2nd PRESSING *CROSSOVER LABEL* 45
On a solid centred disc with black & silver Parlophone labels: R 5084
The 'A' side label carries the 'Sold in UK..' text whereas the 'B' side omits it.
Both labels have upper-case 'Parlophone Co ltd..' rims
There is no price/tax code visible on either label but 'KT' is stamped in both run-outs.
Housed in its original green 'swirl' Parlophone company cover.
Matrix numbers: 7XCE 17559-1N & 7XCE 17560-1N
Stampers: 16/MLA & 11/MTD
Condition
Labels: EXCELLENT
Both labels have some spindle marks and there is some wear around the raised circle in the centre of the 'A' side. However, there is no writing or any other significant faults to either.
Visual: VERY GOOD
Both surface are clean but bear a few cloudy patches and numerous light hairlines under halogen light, but no significant or 'feelable' marks or scratches.
Audio: VERY GOOD
This disc has been played many times but apart from some minor intermittant background, there is no serious deterioration to the sound quality or any major faults to either side.
Cover: GOOD
Clean and bright with some some feathering and a small tear to the upper edge.
- Strict & grading under strong daylight & directly beneath a halogen desk lamp to UK 'RECORD COLLECTOR' standards.
- I carefully play every record I sell on a $5,000 Rega P9 turntable at volume and list all visual and audible faults.
- Unless stated, all records lie 100% flat & play without distortion, jumps or sticks. All sleeves/covers have no writing, splits or tears.
