The Beatles: "Help!" (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack LP) MONO
Original US pressing from 1965 in MONO ... on Capitol (MAS2386), with rainbow labels and custom gatefold jacket.
Includes original company inner paper sleeve.
Many Beatles' albums are auctioned but few from the original MONO series. The Beatles and director George Martin originally mixed and released the first 11 of their 13 studio albums in MONO. True stereo sound technology was still in its infancy when the Beatles started recording in the early and mid sixties. The band intended for their early recordings to be heard in mono and the high sound quality of the original mono releases are prized by collectors to this day. This "Help!" LP is an early example from 1965.
Vinyl: VG+
High gloss. Light surface marks / scratches present, which do at times detract from the listening experience. Overall very good sound quality but surface noise ("pops and clicks") audible between tracks and during quiet passages of some songs. Despite the modest surface noise present here, this LP most certainly provides a wonderful listening experience of this brilliantly recorded album.
Labels are bright and clean. No spindle marks.

Color photos and print are clear and bright on both front and back of jacket ... and inside gatefold.
Trace of ring wear present on back.
Top & bottom seams and spine shows light rub wear. Spine print is clearly legible.
No splits, stickers, bar code.
A name (PERRY, R.E.) is neatly stamped in upper left corner on back of jacket. (This gem was one of many in a collection of about 500 LP's I purchased from my friend Bob Perry many years ago.)
