THE BEATLES - 'BEATLES FOR SALE'
Easily the best sounding of their early stereo albums, this exquisite sounding pressing of their 1964 album dates from the summer of 1969.
Both sides omit the 'Sold in UK...' text but include 'The Gramophone Co Ltd...' rims.
Matrices: YEX 142-1 & YEX 143-1
Stamper codes: 4/PO & 1,7/OL

Housed in a UK printed, outer laminated gatefold stereo cover with flip-overs on the inside right panel.
Complete with original red & white inner-sleeve advertising other contemporary EMI LPs.
CONDITION
Labels: EXCELLENT +
A clean & bright pair bearing a small number of light, well-aimed spindle trails around each unworn centre hole.
Visual: EXCELLENT +
Super-clean, deep-gloss playing surfaces which are unmarked in strong daylight and bear little more than some superficial wispy paper hairlines from inner-sleeve removal/storage beneath halogen light.
Audio: EXCELLENT +
Played with care on good equipment, the sound quality throughout is extremely impressive. All tracks play cleanly and clearly, full of warmth & presence which is missing from later solid-state cuttings and all digital releases. Our careful play-check at volume detected no evidence of any groove/playwear or crackle - even on the quieter and innermost tracks. Aside from a few soft ticks at the beginning of 'I'm A Loser', there is little to fault and much to enjoy on this great sounding disc.
Cover: EXCELLENT
A respectable example of this fragile cover which is clean & firm with minor storagewear only. The delicate front leaf is flat with no 'thumbnails' or creasing. Both panels inside are clean & unyellowed with the only blemish being a tiny date written on the edge of left panel. There are small stresses to the central hinge ends and some shelfwear to the rear right corners but the rear panel itself is clean & undamaged. The spine is fully worded and all seams are smooth & unstressed.
