THE BEATLES - 'BEATLES FOR SALE'
1969 UK STEREO *VARIANT* LP
This extremely rare variant dates from 1969 and carries a unique variant of the 1-EMI box EMI/Parlophone label. The difference between this and all others of its type is that they both OMIT the '33 1/3' speed and 'STEREO' indicators in the 3 and 9 o'clock positions respectively.
Otherwise, this PCS 3062 label bears all the regular hallmarks of a 1969 1-EMI boxed logo: 'Gramophone Co. Ltd..' & 'MADE IN GT. BRITAIN' rim texts.
Housed in an outer laminated, inner-flipback stereo gatefold cover with outlined stereo logo.
Complete with its original red & white EMI advertising inner-sleeve.

A clean & undamaged pair with just a collection of light spindle trails around each centre hole.
Visual: EXCELLENT +
Pristine, deep-gloss playing surfaces which are totally unmarked upon close inspection in strong daylight. Careful inspection directly beneath my unforgiving halogen desk lamp reveals nothing more than a few barely visible wispy paper hairlines consistent with inner-sleeve removal, but no additional marks or wear whatsoever. Both sides lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing with no signs of any dishing or warping.
Play: EXCELLENT +
This copy has received a number of careful plays but my careful play check at volume found no groove/play wear or indeed any deterioration to the sound throughout. Both run-ins and all bands pay without interference and there are no clicks, pops or any other such distraction on this warm and open sound pressing.
Cover
GOOD
Always a fragile affair, this example is quite tired and has moderate handling & storagewear. The front leaf is clean & uncreased but has some feathering along the upper edge and small splits to the upper and lower spine corners. Inside the gatefold is clean & unmarked and the rear panel is also free from any significant signs of wear. The spine is discoloured and there is some flaking of the laminate but all the text is covered and readable.

GOOD
General handling & storagewear with a small lower seam split. Easily replaced.
