THE BEATLES - 'BEATLES FOR SALE'
This impressive UK 1st MONO pressing dates from initial December 1964 release on the yellow & black Parlophone label: PMC 1240
Both labels bear the 'Sold in UK....' text with 'The Parlophone Co. Ltd...' worded rims.
The 'KT' purchase tax code is visible in the centre of the side 2 label.
Matrix numbers: XEX 503-4N & XEX 504-4N
Stamper codes: 3,8/GOM & 2,8/GTD
Vinyl weight: 143g
Housed in an outer laminated, inner-flipback gatefold cover, complete with original rice-paper lined 'Use Emitex..' inner-sleeve

A clean & unworn set with just a small handful of light spindle trails around each unworn centre hole.
Visual: EXCELLENT +
Exceptionally clean, deep-gloss playing surfaces which bear only a few faint paper scuffs & single small hairline on side two in strong daylight. Side 1 is flawless & unmarked and even close examination directly beneath my unforgiving halogen desk lamp fails to reveals any further blemishes or wear to this well looked-after copy.
Sound Quality: NEAR MINT
This superb sounding copy has received just a handful of careful plays on excellent equipment and all tracks play clearly and clearly with no trace of any groove/playwear anywhere. In fact, apart from a few faint ticks in a couple of the bands between tracks, the sound is flawless and wonderful throughout.
Cover: EXCELLENT +
A highly respectable example of this extremely fragile cover with an unscratched & unworn high-gloss, front leaf bearing just two small 'thumbnails' and a single spine wrinkle.
All of the leading edges are undamaged with no tears or feathering.
The rear panel is just as clean bearing just an unavoidable faint disc impression towards the lower part of the panel.
All corners are in superb shape - unbumped and unsplit.
The inside of the gatefold is totally unworn and is clean & white where it should be, with no yellowing or any writing or missing paper.
The spine is clean & perfectly worded with no splits or tears any either end.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT
Clean & crisp with light wrinkles but no writing, tears or seam splits.
