THE BEATLES - 'A HARD DAY'S NIGHT'
This UK 2nd STEREO pressing of their 1964 soundtrack LP dates from 1968 on the yellow & black Parlophone label: PCS 3058
Both labels carry the 'Sold in UK....' text with 'The Gramophone Co Ltd..' rims
There is no purchase tax code is visible in the centre of either label
Matrix numbers: YEX 126-1 & YEX 127-1
Stamper codes: 3/OL & 2/MA
Vinyl weight: 140g
Housed in a front laminated 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed cover with outline 'stereo' front indicator, believed to be produced for export only
Complete with its original red & white EMI advertising inner-sleeve

A superb set bearing just a handful of light spindle trails around the side 2 centre hole but nothing at all on 1.
Visual: EXCELLENT +
Perfectly clean and unworn playing surfaces which retain all of their factory shine with just a single light hairline & tiny 5mm scuff on side 1 together with some harmless inner-sleeve removal marks on side 2. Closer inspection directly beneath my unforgiving halogen desk lamp does little more than highlight these minor blemishes, adding only a sparkling rainbow shine.
Sound Quality: NEAR MINT
A superb sounding copy which retains all of the warmth & clarity expected from 1st pressing matrices. My single careful play-check at volume detected no trace of any groove/playwear on any track or either channel or any clicks, pops or other audible distractions. In fact, apart from a hint of low-level vinyl background between tracks, this is as good as it gets.
Cover: EXCELLENT -
A respectable example of this hard to find cover variant. The front panel is clean with minimal storagwear & a few small edge wrinkles.
There is some shelfwear rubbing to the lower right corner & slight wear to the front opening edge, but no tears or splits.
The exposed rear panel is clean & unblemished and free from any writing or missing paper. All flipbacks are in-place and both seams are smooth & fully intact.
There are a few tiny areas of laminate loss to the spine, but the wording is undamaged.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT
Clean & flat with light storage wrinkling only.
