THE BEATLES - 'A HARD DAY'S NIGHT'
1969 UK *MONO* PRESSING LP
This scarce MONO pressing dates from 1969 and is on the final incarnation of the yellow & black Parlophone label: PMC 1230
Both labels omit the 'Sold in UK..' text & but retain their 'The Gramophone Co. Ltd..' worded rims.
There is no purchase tax code is visible around the centre of either label.
Housed in front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed cover with a small mono front indicator.
Complete with its original red & white EMI advertising inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: XEX 481-3N & XEX 482-3N
Stamper codes: 8/MDL & 8/AHT

A perfectly clean & unblemished pair showing just a small collection of spindle marks on each & slight wear to the side 2 centre hole only.
Visual: NEAR MINT
Pristine surfaces which are totally unmarked and 'as new' in strong daylight with just a few barely visible inner-sleeve removal marks on close inspection directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp. Tough to find a cleaner copy.
Play: EXCELLENT +
This copy has recieved only some extremely careful play on excellent equipment and the sound throughout is clean, warm & clear. However, my careful playcheck did detect slight wear on 'Tell Me Why' & 'I'll Be Back', but not enough, in my opinion, to spoil the listening experience. Both run-ins and all bands paly without interference and the entire albu m is free from any clicks, pops or any other such audible distraction.
Cover
EXCELLENT
A bright & unworn example which retains a perfectly clean & unscratched high-gloss front laminate which bears just a single 'thumbnail' & a small bend towards the upper right corner but no other significant signs of wear. All corners are clean & sharp and both opening edges are free form any tears or feathering. The rear panel is extremely clean, white & unmarked with no writing or missing paper and all flipbacks are clean & fully intact. There is a small rub to the lower spine but no stresses or splits to any. The spine is perfectly clean, fully worded & unworn.
Inner-sleeve
EXCELLENT
Clean & flat with a little wear to the top edge but no tears, writing or seam splits.
