Description
Fischer-Dieskau, Pears, Schwarzkopf and a host of talent with the Philharmonia Orchestra and Chorus conducted by Otto Klemperer in this famous and classic performance of the Bach, St. Matthew Passion. A 5 record (9 sides) set, this is an English stereo pressing on the Columbia label (SAXS 2446 / SAX 2557-2450), the labels are green with silver border and “radio waves”. Apart from a few light scuffs on side four, the records are in extremelly good condition, and play and sound superb with a minimum of surface noise. The box is split along the bottom of the back for about half its length, but othrewise, also excellent. The libretto has a small stain on the back. In remarkably original condition - the tissue paper is still present and in excellent condition. Credit card, cash, or Paypal are preferred.
