Description

This is a beautiful copy of a picture sleeve single by The Honeys: "Surfin' Down the Swanee River" b/w "Shoot the Curl" (Capitol F 4952). Released in Denmark in 1964. Arranged and conducted by Brian Wilson, with production credit going to Nick Venet. This was the second single by The Honeys for the Capitol label. A side written by Saundra Glantz and Diane Rovell. Glantz (aka Ginger Blake) and Rovell were members of The Honeys, along with Diane's sister and wife of Brian Wilson, Marilyn Rovell. B side written by Brian Wilson.

This is one of the harder sleeves to find for this record, which did rather well in the charts in Denmark as well as Sweden (which has a different set of picture sleeves).

Sleeve has some wear and wrinkling, as well as some fading and browning, more visible around the corners. Some sticker damage on the back. But no writing and no seam splits. Overall, the sleeve is in strong VG t VG+ condition. Vinyl is even better EX+ to EX++ condition. Just stunning, with high gloss and clean labels.
