RCA Victor PCS-4021, 1973 original issue / 1st (and only) pressing Canada
In the early 70s, well before founding keyboard/percussion space-rock duo Dionne-Brégent, keyboardist Michel-Georges Bregent fronted the group Brégent with brother Jacques Bregent on vocals, releasing two rare and highly coveted albums......the fine "Partir Pour Ailleurs" in 1979 and this, his extremely rare debut from 1973 "Poussiere des Regrets" (considered one of the genuine "Holy Grails" of Quebec Prog-Psych collectables ....along with coveted gems like Melchior Alias, Marc Lebel, Peter Tessier, Roger Rodier, Souls of Inspyration, Boule de Son, Agapè and Medium).
The poetry of Verlaine, Léo Ferré and Felix Leclerc (given dramatic treatment by Jacques), is set to dark, psychedelic avant-garde electronic rock-jazz music, resulting in an inspiring and emotional album that was truly ahead of its time. Mixed by studio wizard Peter Tessier (who would release his own unique long play, the coveted "By Turning a Knob" folk-psych masterpiece around the same time).

While Bregent's tamer sophomore LP "Partir pour Ailleur", as well as the 2 excellent Dionne-Bregent cosmic prog albums did see limited-run CD releases, "Poussieres des Regrets" will not likely ever get the same treatment.....definately relagating this album to eternal obscurity !
