RARE silkscreened Jamaican first pressing of the Bob Marley & The Wailers` compilation album "The Best Of Bob Marley & The Wailers" on Coxsone Records (1974). Please note that a number of variations of these silkscreened originals are in circulation, all dating from 1974.
As close as it gets to perfection apart from a sealed record, this copy comes to you straight from old store stock. The record has been in storage for over 40 years. It is practically perfect.
"At Studio One Jamaica, the growth and development of an artist is a thing of pride. The officials at the company keep careful records on the big hits, the near hits and the most artistically executed tunes which each artist records. These are the records which are timeless; that is to say that they are so well done that they are as popular two or three years after their initial release as they were when they were brand new. Such is the case which the album. This recording contains some of the most remembers Wailers tunes. The advantage is that while all these songs have been available on single release, this album is a convenient compact collection containing most of the Bob Marley and the Wailers hits." - From the original liner notes.

- Original textured Jamaican silkscreen sleeve.
- Slight corner bend (at top left), from longtime storage. Other than that, perfect.
MINT(-) RECORD that looks unplayed.
- Perfect vinyl on both sides, with impeccable audio reproduction throughout.
- The record comes to you straight from old store stock.
- The record has lightest signs of handling. This is not from play, but consistent with the production process found in Jamaica in the mid-70s.
- No hairlines, scuffs or any other visible signs of previous play at all!
- Original first-pressing off-white Coxsone Records labels with no spindle wear whatsoever.
- The record has no visible matrix stamps in the run-off grooves.
- This record is certified to be a Jamaican first pressing of "The Best Of Bob Marley & The Wailers", released in 1974.
PLEASE NOTE: Not to be compared with the more-often-than-not substandard vinyl on offer on eBay, this item is in honestly-graded MINT(-) condition.
