Bob Dylan’s first single came with a promotional outer sleeve written by Columbia Records National Promotion Manager for Popular Products, Bob Thompson, introducing Dylan to radio programmers. The sleeve text, entitled “Rebel With A Cause” promoted his 2nd album, “The Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan.” This is a bona fide and very scarce Bob Dylan rarity and is almost impossible to find in any condition. Label text here is black. Later promo issues of this title came without the “Rebel” sleeve and featured red text and the more standard 4-42856 catalog number on the label. Original promo issues show only the JZSP number. [Due to their faster turning speed and wider groove spread, 45 rpm pressings exhibit more detailed playback than LP pressings, which turn slower and feature more compacted groove spread.]

All vinyl records from VinylKing46 (eBay’s ORIGINAL VINYLKING) are pre-cleaned and inserted into paper inner sleeves before mailing to Buyer (unless factory sealed). Discs are packaged separately from sleeves to protect against seam splitting. Sleeves are inserted into mylar outer sleeves and both disc and sleeve are shipped in 7” EP/45-specific boxes and packed with bubble wrap or hard cardboard.
