Background -
This STEREO LP is a very rare vintage item! It features Freddie Hubbard and Woody Shaw - what a pairing! The LP was made in the USA by BLUE NOTE / CAPITOL Records and was released in 1988. This item is in remarkable condition given it's age (see below for details).Frederick Dewayne "Freddie" Hubbard (April 7, 1938 – December 29, 2008) was an American jazz trumpeter. He was known primarily for playing in the bebop, hard bop and post-bop styles from the early 1960s onwards. His unmistakable and influential tone contributed to new perspectives for modern jazz and bebop.
Woody Herman Shaw, Jr. (December 24, 1944 – May 10, 1989) was an American virtuoso trumpeter, flugelhornist, cornetist, composer and band leader, described by NPR Music as "the last great trumpet innovator". Shaw is regarded as one of the great jazz band leaders and innovators of his generation. Born with a photographic memory and perfect pitch, he was considered to have been generations ahead of his time.
The Eternal Triangle is an album by trumpeters Freddie Hubbard and Woody Shaw recorded in June 1987 and released on the Blue Note label. It features performances by Hubbard, Ray Drummond, Carl Allen, Mulgrew Miller and Kenny Garrett. The album followed the first Hubbard/Shaw collaboration Double Take (1985).

CONDITION Details:
The LP jacket is in near mint minus condition! The jacket has NO seam splits. The corners and seams are solid, with very light shelf wear. The colors on the jacket are sharp - in collectors grade condition for both the jacket and vinyl (see pictures with this listing as they are of the actual item).
The LP is in near mint minus condition! We found that the vinyl looked superb on this vintage LP, especially since it's from the 1980s. There are no significant marks and the LP retains much of the original gloss and sheen! There may be some dust and the odd finger print on the vinyl with no serious marks evident, and perhaps just a few light spider marks (caused by sliding the LP in and out of the inner sleeve - usually these types of marks are not audible, but it really depends on the sensitivity of your audio gear). There are NO serious spindle marks on the record labels either. That said, acquiring a vintage LP like this is for the performance and rarity of the LP, not necessarily for the sound quality. A Short Note About LP GRADING -- Mint = Only used for sealed items.
- Near Mint = Virtually flawless in every way.
- Near Mint Minus = Item has some minor imperfections, some audible.
- Excellent = Item obviously played and enjoyed with some noise.
- Very Good Plus = Many more imperfections which are noticeable and obtrusive.
For best results, always properly clean your LPs before playing them.
The LP is an audiophile quality pressing (any collector of fine MFSL, half speeds, direct to discs, Japanese/UK pressings etc., can attest to the difference a quality pressing can make to an audio system).
