Description
Up for auction is a rare jazz LP "Jutta Hipp with Zoot Sims," Blue Note, 1530, 1956, Mono.
Record has 167 Lexington Ave. address in script type on label. There is NO registered trademark symbol under the E in Blue Note. The intials RVG (Rudy Van Geller) are written (not stamped) in the trailoff. Record also has the "ear" symbol in the trailoff. Flat edge.
Lineup for this album is: Jerry Lloyd, trumpet; Zoot Sims, tenor sax; Jutta Hipp, piano; Ahmed Abdul-Malik, bass; Ed Thigpen, drums.

Record is in VG+ condition. There is a mark on the edge of side two which might affect play, however it did not on my record player. There is also a mark on the track between selections two and three that makes a click, but not during any music. There are a few other light lines and scuffs on both sides, but nothing that affects play. Deep groove labels is also in very good condition. Label on the A side is in perfect condition with no scratches or discoloration. The label on Side B has a couple of very light age spots.
The album cover is in only fair to good condition. There is old tape along the entire top seam and half of the bottom seam. Rest of bottom seam is not split, but has visible wear. Side seam has three-inch, untaped split and visible wear on the rest of seam. There is white mark on the front where the paper on the cover was torn off when a sticker was removed. (See picture.) Back of album has a light blue stamp of intitals N.R. in a circle. There is record wear. Bottom of cover has water damage which has left a light brown stain that looks like a mountain and peaks about two inches up from the bottom. The same water damage is somewhat visible on the front, but the green color mostly minimizes it.

NOTE ON PACKING: Records are shipped out of sleeve. Both record and cover are bagged and bubble wrap is put between record cover and record and cardboard before being wrapped in cardboard record mailer. Extra cardboard or bubble wrap is used to protect corners. If you have a postal service that is particularly hard on packages, let me know. Since I ship worldwide, I realize that some packages might need a little extra padding or care.
