Blossom Toes were an English psychedelic rock band active between 1967 and 1969. Initially known as The Ingoes, they were renamed and signed to manager Giorgio Gomelsky's Marmalade label. The original line-up comprised Brian Godding (born 19 August 1945, Monmouth, South Wales) (guitar, vocals, keyboards), Jim Cregan (born James Cregan, 9 March 1946, Yeovil, Somerset) (guitar, vocals), Brian Belshaw (born 25 February 1944, Wigan, Lancashire) (bass, vocals), and Kevin Westlake (born Kevin Patrick Westlake, 5 March 1947, Dublin, Co Dublin, Ireland — 30 September 2004) (drums). This album If only For A Moment was the band’s 2nd UK Album release on the Marmalade Record Labels.
This is the original first issue 1969 rare UK stereo vinyl LP for Blossom Toes 2nd UK Album Release, If Only For A Moment.
This psychedelic rock album is considered to be a true collectible rarity especially in this superb condition.
The LP is on the Marmalade Record Labels, with ‘P Date 1969’& with ‘Made in Gt. Britain’ label text.
Both Marmalade record labels are in beautiful Mint Minus condition, both record labels are undamaged, all printed text is unfaded, all that is visible are a couple of faint play signs to the centre of the record labels.
The official machine stamped Matrix, Side 1, is 608010 A#3 11.
The official machine stamped Matrix, Side 2, is 608010 B#2 11.
Both sides of the beautiful vinyl disc are in Mint Minus condition, the heavyweight vinyl disc is beautiful and shows only a couple of insignificant surface hairlines, there are no deep scratches or scuffs or any marks on the vinyl surfaces.
The play quality and sound quality of this LP are beautiful on both sides. Careful listening reveals no background crackle, no clicks or pops, no distortion at high volume, and silent between tracks. The LP play’s with a beautiful sound quality.
The LP comes in it’s original poly lined inner bag, and is housed in its original first issue MacNeill Press Ltd London S.E.1, laminated picture sleeve.
The front panel of the original Picture Sleeve is in Excellent Plus condition, super glossy with just the mildest of LP storage signs and a couple of manufacturing laminate pinches.
The reverse panel of this sleeve is also in Excellent Plus condition, clean and bright with no ringwear. There are no splits to any of the edges, and just a couple of tiny corner bumps.
A really impressive example, of this great album, with great music and sound quality.
