Offered for auction is this rare BLIND LEMON JEFFERSON 78, #12771-A Oil Well Blues & 12771-B Saturday Night Spender Blues on the Paramount label. Also there is another number on the label, #21197. Label shows some fading and the 78 itself was rated V- by a collector. It does show scratches which doesn't interfere with play per the owner.

"Blind" Lemon Jefferson (September 24, 1893 or October 26, 1894 or July 1897 – December 1929) was an influential blues singer and guitarist from Texas. He was one of the most popular blues singers of the 1920s, and has been titled "Father of the Texas Blues. His musical style was individualistic, and Jefferson's singing and self-accompaniment were distinctive as a result of his high-pitched voice and originality on the guitar. He was not influential on some younger blues singers of his generation, as they did not seek to imitate him as they did other commercially successful artists. However, later blues and rock and roll musicians attempted to imitate both his songs and his musical style."

We use both the United States Postal Service and UPS. For large, bulky or heavy items, we only ship UPS Ground within the continental USA. We can not ship these items to P.O. Boxes. Attn UPS Standard to Canada customers:  Please provide your telephone number for the customs forms. Insurance is included for the first $100.00 for UPS shipments. Additional insurance is at the Buyer's expense. Insurance is optional, but recommended with the USPS. We DO NOT refund for uninsured items lost or broken in transit. SIGNATURE CONFIRMATION IS REQUIRED FOR ALL ITEMS WHICH COST OVER $225.00 and  a COST OF $2.10  WILL BE ADDED TO THE TOTAL SHIPPING COST.

Returns:

All auction items are sold as is. The majority of items we list are in previously owned and used condtion.  If you are seeking new items in mint condition, please do not bid on items that are stated as being previously owned.  Returns are accepted ONLY if we agree the item was not as described in the listing. Please contact us at consigningwomen@bellsouth.net  to advise us of an item you would like to return within 3 days of receiving it. The Buyer is responsible for return shipping charges.
