BLACK SABBATH ''BLACK SABBATH VOL 4''  RAREST EVER TO FIND, VERTIGO SWIRL! IT IS BELIEVED THAT JUST A COUPLE OF THOUSAND WERE PRESSED ON THIS LABEL WITH THE PORKY AND PECKO MASTER ETCHINGS! AND TO TOP THIS OFF ONE OF THE BEST THAT I HAVE HEARD!!!! AWESOME (RAREST EVER) BLACK SABBATH 1st UK PRESS GATEFOLD COVER!!!! TOP! TOP! AUDIO THROUGHOUT!!! THE ORIGINAL SWIRL INNER SLEEVE IS ALSO STILL THERE WITH JUST ONE SIDE SEAM SPLIT.

Another from my personal collection!!! Purchased from new and has been kept in a case with the vinyl seperated from the cover to prevent ringware! This is very very sought after original AND IN MY OPINION RAREST EVER UK press! Very rarely seen with the "PORKY and PECKO" etchings in the run-out groove .These were only put on a very limited amount of issues of this pressing!  Please note! I have all of the original UK Black Sabbath albums in my collection and I have played many copies of this album always striving to find the best and top quality available to me over the years! This vinyl is up there with the best that I have ever heard of this pressing! It is rare enougth to find this label variation but to find with very near perfect audio will be very hard to surpass and it has got to be a must for any avid Sabbath audiophiles or collectors out there!!

In June 1972, Black Sabbath reconvened in Los Angeles to begin work on their fourth album at the Record Plant Studios. The recording process was plagued with problems, many due tosubstance abuse issues. In the studio, the band regularly had large speaker boxes full ofcocaine delivered. While struggling to record the song "Cornucopia" after "sitting in the middle of the room, just doing drugs", Bill Ward feared that he was about to be fired from the band. "I hated the song, there were some patterns that were just horrible", Ward said. "I nailed it in the end, but the reaction I got was the cold shoulder from everybody. It was like 'Well, just go home, you're not being of any use right now.' I felt like I'd blown it, I was about to get fired".

However, the seeds were planted for what would eventually be the demise of the classic Sabbath line-up. As bassist Geezer Butler told Guitar World in 2001: "Yeah, the cocaine had set in. We went out to L.A. and got into a totally different lifestyle. Half the budget went on the coke and the other half went to seeing how long we could stay in the studio... We rented a house in Bel-Air and the debauchery up there was just unbelievable." In the same interview, Ward said: "Yes, Vol. 4 is a great album, but listening to it now, I can see it as a turning point for me, where the alcohol and drugs stopped being fun."

Vinyl: EX . Stunning deep glossy and heavy vinyl. This has not been played much. A beautiful glossy vinyl with only a couple of light hairlines. Under a strong light just some wispy retraction paper traces can be seen. These are totally invisible in normal light. I subjected the record to a detailed listen on my high end system and it sounded stunning. Lovely channel separation without any distortion or crackle. This vinyl is a beautiful upgrade.
Gatefold sleeve: EX.  Without doubt one of the hardest gatefolds to still find intact!! A great matt sleeve with only light storage wear to the top and bottom edge. In most cases the black coloured fields have worn badly. NOT THIS ONE!! It still looks incredible. The spine is still 100% legible. The opening is crisp. This still has the inner photo booklet intact and attached. There are no creases and there is no writing or foxing anywhere.

This is a unique investment opportunity!!! The next prog album to go completely through the roof. Finding this album in any condition at all is nearly impossible so late in the day. Get this while you still can. This value of the album is only going to go one way ... up and up ... until it will be totally unavailable at all for a reasonable price.

Important : International postage will be registered and insured if over GBP 30.00.  Please wait for my invoice before paying. Postage will be according to Royal Mail rates. Postage is NOT a money spinning exercise for me.

Though there are rarely ever any problems with my items, I always try my very best to describe everything exactly!  PLEASE REMEMBER to contact me FIRST,  if you have any problems at all, before you leave feedback and star ratings, so I get a chance to turn any negative experience into a positive one!  I can always happily sort anything out for you, if you let me know you have a problem!  This way no one has to leave Negative/Neutral feedback - and we both walk away happy! Similarly with the amount of stars, anything less than a full 5 * rating is effectively detrimental to a seller's rating as lower ratings will incur higher Final Value Fees  and lower priority in the bidlists eventually making it unattractive to list items on Ebay at all. I know of at least one major previous Ebay seller who has decided not to list via Ebay again. Please do NOT bid if you cannot give me at least 1 chance to sort everything out to your FULL satisfaction in the unlikely event of a problem.  Thanks again!!

This an excellent investment opportunity!!! Any questions please ask me and I will try to answer soon.
