Description
Hello! This is a 3x LP Pet Shop Boys “PopArt / The Hits” box set, released in 2003, and a very rare deluxe / collector’s triple vinyl designed by Farrow Design. All photos are of the actual set for sale.
Condition – overall Excellent, details below:
Box: Like New and very clean with a few surface marks to the white matte finish – front cover has faint rubbing to the edges and a light 0.75” indentation under the “O” in “Pop” (photos #4 & 5). Back cover has some faint surface marks and thin lines near the bottom and right sides (photo #6). There's a small 1/2" indent above "B5" (photo #7). The surface marks can generally only be seen in raking light. All box corners are sharp, interior is clean with no marks or damage.
Sleeves: Excellent, all corners are sharp. There are some tiny scattered embedded dots, which appear to be part of paper texture as they also show up under the UV laminate. These are most noticeable on the Side E / F sleeve – see photo #8 for detail.
Vinyl: All 3 records appear unplayed. Paper labels are clean and do not have any fingerprints or handling marks. There’s some scattered dust on the records from the sleeves.
I’ve inspected the records closely under various lighting for any scratches – there is a small group of hairline marks on Side C, Track 3 (Paris City Boy) and Track 4 (It’s Alright) – please see photos #10 & #11 for detail. They can only be seen at an angle and appear light so might not affect playability, but unfortunately I can’t check without a turntable.
Side F has some faint diagonal marks on the outer half. These can only be seen at an angle and aren’t scratches to the grooves but surface marks, likely from being taken in and out of the sleeve. See photo #12 for detail.
