BILLY FURY - 'Sound Of Fury'

RARE 1960 Original First Pressing Decca Mono ffrr LF 1329  

A  mint copy of this original 10-inch first pressing would fetch in excess of £200* ~ so this 'excellent condition' rated LP is offered at a far from cheap, but very fair and realistic price based on catalogue valuations*.This album is, after 45 years, still rated the finest rock 'n' roll and rockabilly LP produced in Britain and contains all Billy Fury (aka Wilberforce) originals ... a real rarity in those days. This is vintage Fury, including some of his finest work like 'That's Love' and 'Turn My Back On You', and it's easy to see why he went on the become arguably our most charismatic rock star before leaving us so sadly aged just 42 in 1983.

With fine Fury vocals and brilliant backing (including the superb electric guitar artistry of Joe Brown) this Jack Good produced album is rightly considered a masterpiece and certainly stands the test of time if you like old rock and roll.

There are much cheaper copies of this around, but they are usually re-issues (look for a rogue 'T' after the LF in the number) ~ but this is an authentic original in excellent condition. The sleeve has slight creasing in the bottom left hand corner, but is otherwise excellent for its age. The record has been hardly played with no real noticeable scratch marks.

THERE ARE 10 TRACKS IN ALL AND THE VINYL IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION AS IS THE SLEEVE.

A REALLY VALUABLE ADDITION FOR ANY REAL BILLY FURY ENTHUSIAST OR VINTAGE ROCK 'N' ROLL FAN
