Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Original 1968 first pressing (( clean )) on the famed collectible 360 Columbia label of the sixties ...
After Chris Hillman dragged new friend Gram Parsons into the Byrds, they made an album as close to a country masterpiece as a rock act could ever make. In fact, the only tunes better than the definitive covers here of songs by Bob Dylan ("You Ain't Going Nowhere"), Guthrie ("Pretty Boy Floyd"), and the Louvin Brothers ("The Christian Life") are Parsons's originals, especially the incomparable "Hickory Wind." Sweetheart wasn't the first rural-rock album, but with its gorgeous three-way harmonies and sweet pedal steel, it remains the best. Just some of the highlights include the opener, You Ain't Going Nowhere, is one of the best Dylan covers the Byrds ever did. The song wasn't even recorded by Dylan by this time (it eventually appeared on Dylan's Greatest Hits, Vol. 2 in a vastly inferior version to the Byrds's rendition). Some always think of it as a Byrds song first. The version of the folk classic I Am a Pilgrim is worthy of timeless spins...as is "The Christian Life" with a Gram Parsons vocal so heartfelt that even non-believers can enjoy the song. Their rendition of "You Don't Miss Your Water" is grand as well. Otis Redding covered this song too, but the Byrds give it more soul than Otis (which is not easy to do). Overall an influential epic album that only in past years finally received overwelming praise deserved...

CONDITION: The Cover: is ALL stiff and solid M- still in original factory shrink wrapper = solid seams, very colorful and strong all over...the original 1968 store price sticker is on the outer cellophane of the front cover, easily removable if desired... NICE collectible!
The Vinyl: is very clean, near M- has no more than nothing audible, top surface inner sleeve paper scuffs...looks nice and plays highly CLEAN, enjoyable with CLEAN 360 Sound Columbia labels...great collection copy!
