Description
BILL HALEY AND HIS COMETS - " DON'T NOBODY MOVE ", Brunswick Records "DEMONSTRATION SAMPLE NOT FOR SALE" (104288).
Very rare single-sided, Demo 45/7" of the Bill Haley song.
Matrix Number: 45-104288-IC
In original brown paper sleeve.
Side B is not used and features a plain black label and grooves that play a low frequency 'test tone'.
Professionally cleaned on a Moth record cleaning machine prior to listing.
CONDITION:
VINYL = V.G.+ (No deep scratches, groove damage, excessive surface noise, distortion, etc. Only light spindle trails on the label. In strong direct light there are quite a lot light marks and scuffs on the vinyl's surface, but these do not affect playback as you would expect. It actually plays well, much better than it's visual appearance would suggest - starts with the very lightest of faint surface noise during the silent run-in which stops as the music starts. Then it plays strong, clear and without interruption from loud clicks, crackles and excessive surface noise. As the record plays out there are just a couple of random extremely faint background clicks/noises, but these in no way ruin this very rare record. Despite it's lesser cosmetic appearance, still a good honest used 45 ready to be played and enjoyed as it should be.
The label is basically pretty clean, but does have a small amount of writing and a number stamped on it - of course these are part of the test pressing process and therefore part of the record's history rather than damage - see photo.
Note: for the purposes of this listing I have tested this LP on my Linn LP12 Sondek turntable - generally this is quite a critical test, but I must point out that I cannot guarantee exactly how this LP will sound on your turntable - common sense for most... but then this is ebay!!!)
