Description
I am selling some of my personal vinyl collection. Most of these records were purchased by me new in the 1970’s/80’s and have been extremely well looked after, having only been played a handful of times on a Linn Sondek turntable with a light stylus tracking force of 1.5g.
Unless stated otherwise, the vinyl can be considered as mint and shiny with no marks – basically as new. The covers vary in condition but most are excellent just showing the usual signs of storage – slight scuffing, etc.
This LP is Bert Jansch's classic Rosemary Lane album on Transatlantic Records TRA 235.
Matrix (dead wax) marks are A1/B1.
Vinyl condition is near mint I would say, just some very light paper scuffs can be observed in strong sunlight. I can't remember ever having played the album apart from a complete test play on my new Rega RP6 turntable. The record plays superbly with just the usual light background noise.
Cover condition is good for age I would say as it has been stored in a plastic liner.
Now here's the special thing about this record. It came from the private collection of the ex-head of Transatlantic Records. This means it is almost certainly one of the first pressings. It would be probably be hard to find a better original copy.
