Please note that all of my records came from the collection of one serious audiophile. He cleaned the disks with best techniques, and maintained the disks in excellent shape.
BILL EVANS Portrait in Jazz LP Riverside 12-315 / RS 9315 (1960 pressing)
**Please note the RS 9315 designation. In my research I haven't been able to locate precise info on valuation of this pressing. This is the 1960 "album" version, not the highly collectible "mono" version. They were released in same year, but while the "mono" pressing typically sells around $250, the "album" version has no sales record that I can locate. I suspect that it is in same ballpark as the "mono" version, but I'll leave that issue to the experts (and bidders). My goal is to provide accurate information, to the best of my knowledge (if anyone has additional info on the RS 9315 version, I'll be glad to hear from you).
Disk is EX condition. I've listened to full album and sound is excellent.
Jacket is VG+ condition. Previous owner used some marker to obscure ringwear on jacket. The marker is visible in bright light, not barely visible in normal light, see photo for details. Also, there is clear tape on corners.
Note on Jacket: I provided two photos of front of jacket, one in normal light where the marker is barely visible, and one in bright light where you can see the marker that was used to obscure ringwear. This way, you can get a fully accurate impression of the impact of marker on value of the item.
General comment: I usually conduct grading of disks visually, and all the records in this collection were cared for with love, and cleaned using the best professional techniques. The previous owner listened to these disks on a top-line stereo system, and cleaned them to make sure they were free of all dust and dirt. Sometimes there will be surface abrasions, which can usually be seen in the photographs I take of the disks.
