Description

This is a fine original U.S. pressing copy of the third LP by Big Brother and the Holding Company, released in 1970.  The record was the group's first after the departure of Janis Joplin, and it saw former Electric Flag member Nick Gravenites picking up the slack on lead vocals.  This and the  group's last LP lack the spark that Joplin brought, but feature well played West Coast rock.  This LP also includes a sarcastic faux-country swipe at Merle Haggard, whose 1969 single "Okie from Muskogee" had become a conservative anthem, "I'll Change Your Flat Tire, Merle."  The jacket has creasing and wear in one corner (see photo), and is otherwise close to pristine -- EX(+).  The disc is clean with some light scraping, and plays with some light surface noise -- EX(+).

I am in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their jackets. The jackets have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded (spot checked) discs except where otherwise noted.

If you'd like to order multiple items, I'll happily combine them so that you won't have to pay multiple shipping charges.
