HERE WE HAVE THE ORIGINAL RELEASE OF - BERNARD PARMEGIANNI & HIS VINTAGE ELECTRONIC MASTERPIECE TITLED - "CHANTS MAGNETIQUES" THIS IS NOT A RE-PRESS ITS THE ORIGINAL REAL DEAL!!!

RELEASED ON THE SCARCE PSI LABEL, BACK IN 1974. OVER THREE DECADES AGO.,..

THIS GUY WAS DEVELOPING THE ART OF ELECTRONIC MUSIC WAY BACK IN THE 60'S A TRUE PIONEER, RECOGNISED WORLDWIDE FOR HIS ACHIEVEMENTS. BERNARD HAS WORKED WITH MANY ARTISTS, AND WAS INVOLVED WITH THE "THIRD EAR BAND"

THIS ACTUAL RECORD HAS NO WARPING OR DAMAGE, VERY CLEAN & FREE FROM ANY NEEDLE THRASHING, DESTORTION, SCRATCHED MARKS, OR INGRAINED DUST. EVEN STILL HAS A LITTLE STATIC ATTACHED TO THE DISC. IMPRESSIVE SHEEN & ORIGINAL GLOSS. THE VERY BEST YOU COULD WISH FOR, AN ORIGINAL RELEASE.

TEST PLAY IS NEAR MINT. PLEASE NOTE : WITH THE FACT THAT THE MUSIC IS SO QUIET IN PLACES, AND SOME SLIGHT (VERY) SLIGHT STATIC MAY BE HEARD IN SOME OF THESE PARTS. THIS IS THE ONLY ONE REASON ITS NOT GRADED AS MINT OUT OF 100% THIS RECIEVES A PERCENTAGE OF 95% FOR APPEARANCE & OF COURSE THE AUDIO. I RECKON WITH USE OF A PROFESSIONAL CLEANING KIT, IT WILL APPRECIATE TO 100%.

THE LABELS HAVE AN ORIGINAL SHOP STICKER ON BOTH SIDES.... "C.BRULL LTD LONDON" 100% FREE FROM SIGNS OF ANY SPINDLE WEAR, OR HANDWRITTEN NAMES. NO RIPPING, TEARS OR FADE IN PRINT. IN MY OPINION THE STOCKISTS STICKER LABELS WOULD ACTUALLY ADD TO THE VALUE & AUTHENTICITY OF ITS ORIGINAL PROOF OF RELEASE? THESE SHOULD BEST BE LEFT ATTACHED I WOULD NOT ADVISE REMOVAL.

THE COVER IS FANTASTIC, WITH NO ISSUES TO LIST AS A NEGATIVE. PERFECTLY CLEAN & FRESH, INTACT SPINE AT THE SIDE CLEARLY READABLE WITH NO SPLITS OR RECORD PUSH. THERE ARE NO HANDWRITTEN NAMES IN INK OR BIRO. ORIGINAL SHOP SUPPLIERS STICKER ON BOTTOM OF COVER. NO RIPPING OR TEAR. NO WRINGWEAR. THIS HAS BEEN STORED OUT OF DIRECT SUNLIGHT & IN A SMOKE FREE ZONE, NO DAMP, OR SMELL OF AGE ETC.

PLEASE SEE ALL OF THE ITEM ON OFFER IN THESE CLOSE UP PHOTOGRAPHS PROVIDED, DIRECTLY BELOW THIS DESCRIPTION....

Bernard Parmegiani (Paris, France, 1927) started off as a sound engineer for French television (ORTF, later known as RTF). Originally an actor during the four years studies at Lecoq & Decroux school, he joined the "Groupe de recherches musicales" (GRM) in 1959 for a two years master class. His first major work (Violostries) was composed in 1962 for a choregraphy performed for Théâtre Contemporain d’Amiens directed by Jacques-Albert Cartier.

Pierre Schaeffer gave him the direction of the Musique-Image departement at ORTF. During that period he composed for numerous film directors, such as R. Lapoujade, P. Foldès, P. Kamler, V. Borowczyck, P. Kast, J. Baratier or P. Kassovitz. He furthermore extended his musical researches into the field of video-art after a journey through the U.S.A. He directed three musical videos when he returned: L’Œil écoute (1973), Jeux d’artifices (1979) for the research departement of ORTF, and L’Écran transparent (1973) in Köln (Germany) during his residency at West Deutscher Rundfunk (WDR).

His interests also expanded to live performance: in the seventies he interacted with jazz artists for improv sessions with french jazz fellows J.-L. Chautemps, B. Vitet or M. Portal, and went to London to perform live with The Third Ear Band.

He created numerous jingles & soundbites for public radio stations (France-Culture or France-Musique), public television service (Antenne 2) and the Aéroport de Roissy.

During his entire career he also composed music for stage (dance & theater), screen and other media (radio & television alike). But he remains focused on electroacoustic music (or acousmatic music as defined by GRM long-time director François Bayle) conceived to be played back for the best rendition on the acousmonium broadcasting system developed by the "Groupe de recherches musicales"

>>  Grading of Items All items are graded conservatively according to Record Collectors Grading System Record Collectors Grading system

Mint (M) The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet. booklet or poster are in perfect condiition. Records marked as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

Excellent (EX) The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

Very Good (VG) The record has obviously been played many times, but displayes no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any moajor defects is acceptable

Good (G) Te record has been played so much that the sound quality has notceably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc

Fair (F) The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

Poor (P) The record will not play properly due to scratched, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing Bad (B) The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler

CD's and CASSETTES As a general rule CD's and Cassettes either play perfectly - inwhich case they are in Mint condition - or they don't, in which case their value is minimal. Cassette tape is liable to deteriorate with age, even if it remains unplayed, so care should be taken when buying old tapes. CD's are difficult to grade visually; they can look perfect but actually be faulty, while in other cases they may appear damaged but still play perfectly. Cassette and CD inlays and booklets should be graded in the same way as record covers and sleeves. In general, the plastic containers for cassettes and CDs can easily be replaces if they are broken or scratched, but card covers and digipaks are subject to the same wear as record sleeves
