Description
About This Record. Here’s another really cool item from my record collection which is on my TOP TEN LPs of all-time list, this one by The 13th Floor Elevators. This is their best and rarest and most essential psych masterpiece LP, Easter Everywhere, complete with lyric innersleeve . . . and BOTH original “Gold Flake” covers! The first mispressing cover (with “Posturos”) signed by Roky Erickson, plus an original “gold flake” normal cover (with “Postures)! I've had the pleasure of owning precisely 10 copies of this LP over my lifetime because I am passionate about the 13th Floor Elevators, and this is one of the better copes of this LP I have heard (my keeper until recently), which is known for copies that look Near Mint and play VG! And it comes with the necessary two-sided lyric innersleeve that almost never turns up, although the Innersleeve has a bottom split, usual glue marks, and some frayed and tattered edges on the opening edge.
Please Please Please CHECK my Feedback which shows you my grading (Cover/Vinyl) of other LPs I have recently sold and what the lucky people who are now taking care of my vinyl thought about our experience.
I offer full refund including shipping both ways (for USA and foreign buyers in case for some wildly strange reason you might be unhappy with this purchase. Comes hand-cleaned on my VPI 16.5 Record Cleaning machine (hate those automated 17's) and placed in a new dust-free sleeve for your grandchildren. And two plastic sleeves for moisture protection (for you and me).
Please note that I work for eBay and this link is to the Code I have to abide by as an eBay employee: http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/everyone-employee.html I have no clue who works in the Collectibles Division and am not involved in any policy or other decisions that go on; I just happen to like vinyl and happen to work at eBay
Cover Condition: This LP (one vinyl copy) comes with two (2) covers, both the original “gold flake” mispressing cover (with “Posturos”), and the original “gold flake” normal pressing stereo cover with “Postures” (this is a stereo LP and a stereo cover).
Autographed cover: EX- The very first mispressing that spells the song “Postures” incorrectly as “Posturos” which has some writing on the back cover [ J ] in black pen that says “Roky Erickson” I have no reason to think that this is not an original autograph, but I did not obtain the autograph in person. I bought this long ago at a record show in New York City. This original cover with the last song titled as “Posturos” on the back cover, and is in EX- condition with some slight wear to the corners and light shelf wear/seam wear. Strong seams and spine, no splits.
The second original gold flake cover is in VG+ condition. This heavy "gold flake" original cover is rated VG+ and not EX/better because of noticeable ring wear, which almost ALL copies of this LP have because of the fragile cover. Otherwise, the cover has small size medium corner rubs, but spine and seams are intact with no tears but for the rubs. The back cover reads “Postures” as my pictures will show you.
I always reserve the right to take my LPs off auction if nobody bids or if nobody reaches my reserve after a certain time so please bid now and don't just mark this in your watch list or your bidslammer list, or if you don't just don't complain later. :)
Vinyl Condition: STRONG EX. (there is only one LP, but two covers as noted above) Original first pressing. One of the better copies of this LP I have heard. This was my keeper copy until recently (and I have owned about 12 copies over the years) and it is a VERY NICE copy that has minimal background noise that was prevalent on all International Artists pressings, especially this one. Side 1 looks VG+ to EX- with light marks and plays almost Near Mint to my ears, dead quiet between 3/5 songs as these things go, and a few random pops between Track A1 and A2, and Track A4 and A5. Side 2 also Looks STRONG VG+ to EX- because of a few VERY VERY light innocent marks which obviously cannot be felt (no need to check with your finger) and that obviously should not affect play (and don’t), but plays EX better but with some crackling between tracks. Just a few pops here and there on Side 2, and a little more background noise, from the pressing and not the light marks, but this plays much better than some Near Mint-looking copies I have seen.
Please read my feedback and keep in mind that, as you know, this LP is Essential for anyone's collection and this is a keeper copy as these things go and there were only about 10,000 original pressing released!
Inserts: Comes with original special two-sided lyric innersleeve that is in just a little bit better than usual condition as it has a small tear in the bottom, and some frayed edges at the top of the sleeve, and the usual noticeable glue marks on the seams of the innersleeve, like every copy but one or two that I have seen have. But no fears, the vinyl comes separated from the special innersleeve, and also comes cleaned on my VPI Record Cleaning Machine and in a new protective plain paper rice-paper like innersleeve (so the old dust does not reattach!) OH my gosh!!.
Labels: EX labels (Light to Medium spindle wear around the hole from someone not being careful about accurately placing the LP on their turntable without the spindle scraping the label a little bit) (see photos of all labels).
Packaging. I clean all vinyl on my V.P.I. Record Cleaning Machine and place it in a new rice paper equivalent innersleeve so the old dust does not reattach; but I also include the innersleeve that came with this LP when I purchased it if the innersleeve that now remains with the LP is the original one (or at least if I think it is). YES, I separate the vinyl in its new rice paper equivalent sleeve after cleaning it from the LP cover, and place the cover and the separately packed vinyl in at least one if not two plastic outer sleeves that help protect against moisture damage during this cool transition from my record collection to your record collection. I use sturdy cardboard containers with real corners and pack with at least one insert stiffener, and I place neon stickers on the front and back of the package indicating “Do Not Bend” and “Fragile” to help facilitate a safe passage.
Shipping and Payment. PayPal only. I ship promptly worldwide. The automatic eBay invoice CANNOT compute accurate shipping/postage charge if you buy more than one LP, so if you buy more than one LP ignore the automatic ebay invoice that you receive and wait for my invoice or ask me to send you one (if I don’t send a separate one later). I will ship by any method you want. But if you do not pay for protecting your purchase by requesting insurance, then please understand the record will be shipped at your own risk and not mine. I offer full refund on this record including shipping both ways. CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS: Please add sales tax!
