Description
For auction is "The Other Side Of BENNY GOLSON" on Riverside RLP 12-290, MONO, 1959. With Curtis Fuller, Barry Harris, Philly Joe Jones and Jymie Merritt.
SOUND: VG
It has been machine-cleaned and I listened to both sides completely. There are random, soft ticks and background noise throughout, but I judged these to be minor. Nothing loud or over the top, but not for a perfectionist. The playback is thoroughly enjoyable!
VINYL: VG
Visually, the vinyl show signs of wear including faint scuffs and scratches. Nothing I could "feel" though, and the playback is nice!
COVER: VG
The cover is about VG. The top right edge is split 2-inches to the corner. The other edges are all solid with routine wear. The corners are a little rounded. The front is unmarked, with moderate ring-wear and aging. The back is unmarked, and has routine aging and a little waviness in the far bottom left paper.
The photos are of the exact record up for bids. Look before you bid, ask if you want any additional info or pics.
A great record in nice shape, that plays well. No reserve, bidding starts at $20.
Every record I auction has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty vacuum/cleaner. I played every record to determine if there are static, tics, pops, hisses, what have you. I endeavor to thoroughly report any extraneous audio "noise" or problems of any significance. Other than that, I will report on the general condition of each record, both vinyl and jacket, according to Goldmine standards, to the best of my ability.
Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale.
If you're into this stuff, you might want to save me to your seller's list and check back periodically. I'll be putting a lot of vintage jazz records up for auction.
