BEE GEES Bee Gees 1st LP Polydor 582012 MONO 1st Press!!!! UK 1967
Hi Ebay Enthusiasts,
This record is part of an amazing selection of vinyl which I have inherited. The music spans from 50's - 90's including rockabilly,country,classical, rock'n'roll, blues, rock, jazz,funk, soul/northern soul, reggae, ska and afrobeat, hip hop and r&b... which I will be listing over the next few months. There are lots of rarities, although there are some reproductions of hard to find records. I am not a connoisseur neither do I claim to be an expert. I am just a music lover who appreciates good music. I will be grading by visual inspection and listening to the record. Description: Original issue not re-issue matrix no.'s A2/B4.
Condition (Disc/Sleeve): VG-/VG Vinyl has numerous marks and scratches and is no oil painting. It plays well no jumps or skips, just a light crackle/surface noise throughout and the odd tic/soft pop.
Cover has edge wear on the side spine,creasing top left hand corner on the front and the back has discolouration.
Comments: Collectors Item!! Rare and virtually impossible to find!!!! The Bee Gees 1st and rarest LP, hardly turns up. This is the original 1967 UK mono 1st pressing in the original inner sleeves in the original "E.J. Day" laminated "patents pending" mono cover !!!! This LP sold in very tiny amounts when it got it's release and was quickly deleted making it highly collectable. Added to the fact it it was a totally pschedelic album and much different to their later work make this album highly desirable!! Doesn't come round that often....don't sleep on this one!!
GRADINGS ARE AS FOLLOWS:
M = never been played or used
NM = Visually none or a few light hairline marks, plays clean with a crisp fidelity throughout.Looks as if you just got it home from a new record store and removed the shrink wrap.
VG+ = Some light visible marks,slight scuffs or very light scratches.May show some signs of wear that doesn't affect one's listening experiences.Still plays clean with a crisp fidelity throughout.
VG = Several light hairline marks and light scratches(deep enough to feel with fingernail) that will affect sound and groove wear becomes noticeable.Still plays well with only occassional quiet surface noise and/or click.
G = Loss of lustre to vinyl. several scratches and heavy marks, will play without sticking or jumping but will have surface noise throughout
F = Looks and plays bad, possibly skips. Plenty of hiss, clicks, or pops.
P = Just a collection filler, to look at.
Please note there may be a difference between grading with a (+/-) , all this means is that there is a very slight upgrade/downgrade.
