Description
Original Capitol Records MONO "Yesterday And Today". Released in 1966. Spizer version CAP 2553.MR1B.
This copy is visually graded at VG+ for the cover and VG- (record) using the visual grading standards of the Cox/Daniels "Price Guide For The Beatles American Records" (6th edition). These grading standards tend to be more stringent than Goldmine. See my various photos of the cover and record. A very nice copy for any Beatles collector.
Record - LA Pressing of this vinyl. The vinyl is still very shiny (glossy) but has a few scratches (some very minor and a few longer ones) but none cause any skips or cause distraction from listening to the vinyl. If not for the couple 2"~3" scratches, the vinyl would grade at VG+. The labels are very clean other than a few superficial spindle marks visible under certain angled light.
Cover -
Very nice mono cover with a small amount of perimeter slight yellowing which is common with storage of a 50+ year old record. The seams are fully intact (no rips or tears) and very slight foxing of the spine. The cat.# and title are fully visible on the spine. A few light water marks on the cover's rear, a few minor bumps to the top and bottom seams, and a slight crease on the bottom front to the right of the trunk but the crease does not continue across the cover or even to the opening. No writing, no tape, no mold. The cover would be very suitable for framing if so inclined. The cover was manufactured by Modern Album, Long Island, NY as noted by the small "3" near the RIAA logo. This is one of the companies that Capitol used to make their covers.
