ALBUM PLAYED FOR GRADING:

Yes – brilliant! Great sound quality throughout. 

Yellow Submarine is a complex and varied collection of music, and is also a relatively sensitive piece of vinyl, and hard to find in clear audio condition. Worn copies can have a lot of surface sound even on musically complex and busy tracks like 'Pepperland.' This pressing sounds great, with crystal clear sound throughout. There is certainly no dominant or even particularly noticeable static, and NO hissing, crackle, loud pops or clicks. It really sounds great and plays with TOP sound separation and clarity! 

Channels are clean and unstressed. The record plays with staggering power, with near silence between the tracks. Rich and detailed sound with massive dynamics and unique mix and production.  This is certainly one of the clearest audio pressings of Yellow Submarine I've ever had the privilege of listing to. I will give a detailed account below:

'Yellow Submarine' comes in with great clear sound, no pops or clicks and barely any static to be heard - incredible clear audio. Leading into  'Only A Northern Song', both tracks playing with super clear audio.  'All Together Now' , a track that so often has lots of interference and surface  sound, plays great. Really nice clear audio, a superb example, virtually no detectable background static at all, and thats incredible rare. This really is a faultless performance.  There are three light pops between the tracks, but not during the music at all, and then 'Hey Bulldog' also plays with amazing clear sound, again with no detectable static. You can hear sounds on this pressing that are virtually always lost. It leads into the hugely influential 'It's All Too Much' , again an amazing performance.  No pops or clicks at all, not even a single tic. The classic 'All You Need Is Love' plays beautifully, with no pops or interference, certainly not a hint of distortion anywhere, just great clear audio, - a wonderful example of the great song.  Rounding off side 1. of this great piece of vinyl with great clear sound.

Side 2. begins with the wide orchestration of 'Pepperland', and all the complex layering is clearly defined.  There is some very light static at the very start,  but it is in no way prominent, simply the kind of static you would find even on a new vinyl. No pops clicks or static during the track, the audio is superb. 'Sea Of Time', another relatively quiet track plays superbly. I noticed a light tic in the middle of the track, and some occasional light static, but it was very light. 'Sea Of Holes' plays with  no pops or clicks, and barely any detectable static. The sound is just perfect. 'Sea of Monsters'  bursts in, and although its a slightly raucous track, it is still heavily layered, and all the layering is crystal clear.  'March of the Meanies' sounds perfect, as does 'Pepper Land Laid Waste'. 

'Yellow Submarine in Pepperland'  the album finale is such  varied and delicate track, with such a range of sound effects and quiet areas, its usually heavily overshadowed with static and even distortion. Not hear, it plays absolutely beautifully, with super clear sound, and no pops or clicks, barely any detectable surface sound at all, just great, crystal clear audio. No light pops, no clicks or even a single static tic. Amazing clear sound! Even in the long outro there is barely any detectable surface sound.

Superb sound, every track has been tested and I could find no sound blemishes. Wonderful TOP audio, there is NO distortion, NO sticks or jumps what so ever, and virtual silence between the tracks.

This vinyl is an absolute gem! The music sings out with silence in the run ins and quiet areas. Great music with great clarity, and so hard to find with this type of sound. It would be had to ever better this audio performance. 

The music jumps out, with definition and clarity, the vocals which come through with tremendous power. Its the same with the bass guitar and drums, whilst the guitars come through crisp and clear. The tonal quality make this a sensational pressing. With the clear and extra loud First cut engineering giving the audio a vibrant sound which cannot be beaten.

An great all round example of this classic vinyl. This is a great Audio pleasure and I would have to give the Audio a NEAR MINT grading. Staggering first Stereo mix, unlike the re-issues which lack the impact. A TOP all round example of this great vinyl.

THE LABELS 

These 1st Press Parlophone labels are in NEAR MINT to MINT Condition, with no sticker marks or writing, and no spindle wear. There are NO spindle traces. A stunning set. 

THE RECORD 

A superb piece of glossy vinyl, and a really thick pressing, this record looks and sounds unplayed. The record has great shine and has no hairlines or scratches, just a light handling paper removal mark. In daylight looks completely unmarked, and only under a spot light can some a single hairline.  This is a truly great Archival example, and I would say easily grades from NEAR MINT.

This FIRST EVER STEREO mix gives a great early press listening experience.

THE COVER

This incredibly rare 1st pressing comes with the flip back cover with what would be come the extremely rare RED LINE design on the rear. A tiny batch were produced long before the standard pressings came along.

An incredible rarity, this cover is also in stunning archival condition, and has been kept in its original distribution bag from new. Super bright and clean with laminate that is largely unmarked. 

There is virtually NO light scuffing to the corners of the spine, and none to the other outer edges. This is a bright example, with perfect flip backs. There is some light creasing, but its relatively very slight, and some light ring wear on the front a rear, but again its very light and can only really be seen at certain angles. The opening edges are very square and un frayed.  The back cover is nice and clean, with NO light ring wear, which is very unusual for these covers.

The outer spine text is totally intact,  with NO discolouration or laminate separation. 

A great example. All round, this is a really nice cover. Grades at  NEAR MINT.

A complete STEREO Label pressing of Yellow Submarine in any condition is scarce. The vinyl is so often played so much, heavily marked, scratched, with noisy, poor and distorted sound.

The cover is hard to find without serious wear, even modestly worn examples are scarce and this one is a lovely example. Finding a nice cover like this, with a solid pressed piece of vinyl, and the original inner, fantastic!. 

Finding one that has such truly stunning Audio performance, spot less record labels and extremely rare Original Distribution bag makes this an absolute gem, and an extreme rarity!

The highest quality vinyl with clear sound is rare, and is what I always aim for. I only sell records that play with TOP AUDIO performance, super clear sound uninterrupted by hiss or other interference. Even with the cleanest copies you will find occasional static sound or occasional light tics during playback, caused by a build of dust in the grooves. This is clearly different from the distortion, loud pops, repeating tics or clicks that are found on heavily played and worn pieces of vinyl. Any static build up will reduce when played, and I advise a light clean should be given between plays for optimal performance.

MINT: Virtually unplayed. The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. Cover is pristine.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

V.G PLUS: The record will still be nice and shiny, but may have a few light marks, and will play well. Slight wear and tear on the cover.

V.G: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, etc.

FAIR: Fair. It is noticeable that the record has been played so much that the sound quality has deteriorated very noticeably. The cover and contents are showing signs of folding, scuffing of edges etc.
