Here on offer is probably one of the scarcest pressings around!! This was pressed in the UK in 1969 for export to South Africa. There certainly wern't many pressed and if they are seen they are in a terrible state! Please check the net for websites with regards to the rarety of this pressing!!!!!!! (normally pressings this early are only ever seen on the apple label) pLEASE READ FURTHER FOR THE UNIQUE CHARACTORISTICS OF THIS VERY RARE PRESSING!!!!!!

YELLOW SUBMARINE is the tenth official album released by The Beatles. It was the soundtrack to the animated film of the same name.

In contrast to how the film was received, Yellow Submarine is usually considered The Beatles' weakest album, as it featured only six songs by the band. The Beatles did not consider it a studio album, since the four unreleased tracks on it were recorded at various times in 1967 and early 1968.

The Vinyl

This is the original thicker heavier and deeper grooved vinyl and much more robust than later press that were more flimsier!!!! On visual inspection the vinyl lays perfectly flat on the turntable and still retains its original sheen from new. In strong light surface marks \scratches can be seen. I have played this track for track as usual and found the audio cristal clear and vibrant all the way through with (no) signs of grooveware or that thiss has been over played. Please note! there were some static ticks in some places (not consistant through out the audio) and i found nothing too bad as to interfear with the total enjoyment of the record . I found this vinyl extreemely enjoyable and very playable. Please note! those who know the items that I sell in general on my site know that my prime interest is the audio quality. I am listing this pressing not for the audio quality but for the rarety. please do not underestemate the rarety of this pressing. The fact that it hasn't been overplayed is a real bonus.!!!!!

The labels

This features the green ''one boxed emi  and the Parlophone logos'' only seen on this export pressing (very very rare indeed) and the cat no. PCSJ 7070 with ''registered for or by the user'' (only seen on export press) there are some light marks\ware (see photo but all text is legible. spidering can be seen but no spindle ware the hole is perfectly round.  

The Cover

This has fully laminated front and flipbacks at the rear (only 1st press) with minimal creasings (see photo)

This features the red lines at the rear (please note you will only ever see these on 1st pressings) later feature black lines

there are (no) splits or tares and hardly any storageware to talk of (see photos) a superbe example!!!!!
