Description

This is a no reserve auction for the following LP vinyl record:

Artist: Beatles

Title: Beatles (White Album)

Year: 1968

Cat # Apple (EMI) PCS 7067-8 (Stereo)

Vinyl Condition: Side One: VG+ - Some heavier sleeve scuffing throughout first 3 tracks, has some background noise.

Side Two: VG+/NM - A couple very small hairline sleeve swipes, plays excellent.

Side Three: VG+ - One heavier scarf mark which runs through "Birthday" , some other milder sleeve swipes.

Plays excellent, with some light background noise at times.

Side Four: VG+/NM - One very light sleeve swipe, plays excellent.

Cover Condition: VG/VG+ - Cover still has original sheen, with rub wear throughout. This is a light paper side loader edition, with embossed "Beatles" logo. All four corners have some mild wear and slight "yellowing" in spots. There is a price sticker in upper right hand corner. I imagine this could be taken off with some care. There are some crease marks to the front (middle/right) and some discoloration spots here and there. These blemishes are hard to pick up with a camera. The back also shows some light creasing at the spine. The inner gatefold looks nice, with the "Garrod and Lofthouse" credit. There are some small discoloration spots in the middle on both top and bottom. Again, very hard to pick up with the camera. The spine looks good with all writing clearly visible. The spine is slightly "caved in" as this is the light paper edition and very hard to keep solid. All seams are intact.

Comments: This is a UK original pressing with the Matrix numbers: YEX 709-1 (5 - CPD), YEX 710 -1 (GTA),  YEX 711 (2 - R DD) YEX 712 (2 - GPG)  The Apple number is: 161639. All labels look excellent, with some very mild spindle wear. The label on Side Two is slightly offset. This is a complete set with all four pictures in pristine condition. They even have the original light paper dividers. The poster is in great shape as well. Each record is store in original Apple white paper sleeves. The sound of this lp is sharp & vibrant! Much better than any other pressing I have ever heard. Any more questions you may have , feel free to ask and I will try to answer the best I can. Thanks for looking.

**** NOTE TO BUYERS****

I use the Goldmine record grading system, which is detailed below. Cover's and vinyl are graded separately and may not fall into the same category. If you would like more info about a particular title, please ask. I check Ebay often and will try to get back to you promptly.

M (MINT) - Album is brand new, sealed, and unplayed.

NM (NEAR MINT) - Vinyl looks as if you just got it home from a new record store and removed the shrink wrap. LP cover may have some light rub marks.

VG+ (VERY GOOD PLUS) -  Vinyl may show some signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. Sleeves will have some slight wear, lightly turned corners, or a slight seam split. Also may have slight signs of wear also may be marred by a cut out hole, indentation or corner indicating it was taken out of print and sold at discount.

VG (VERY GOOD) - Vinyl has light wear, scratches or scuffs. Covers may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached, or small seam splits.

G (GOOD) - Vinyl has moderate, ever wear throughout, but still playable. Surface noise and scratches. A cover or sleeve will has large seam splits. especially at the bottom or on the spine. Tape, writing, ring wear or other defects will start to overwhelm the cover.

P (POOR) - Lowest Grade. Audible scratches, etc. on more than half the tracks. Listening uncomfortable. The sleeve is water damages, split on all three seams or heavily marred by wear and writing.
