DESCRIPTION: This is a rare Album The Beatles Vs. The Four Seasons. This is a Vee JAy label DX 30. Gatefold cover original with information on The Beatles and The Four Seasons inside. This ultra rare album was a clever re-packaging of Introducing The Beatles and The Four Seasons Greatest Hits. The reason that this rare package was issued is that there had earlier been a lawsuit filed by Capitol against Vee-Jay Records about how who had the right to release Beatle records in America! Vee-Jay had failed to make some royalty payments and this gsve Capitol the in, and they ultimately won their suit! Vee-Jay was allowed to use only the Beatle tracks they controlled until a specified date. Hence, this rare compilation issued briefly before the rights Vee-Jay controlled were given to Capitol, as ordered by the court. This is a beautiful copy with minimal wear.
CONDITION: The cover has a 2" split seam on one corner top and a very light yellow marker on the top left. The cover is still very white and very light wear at all. The vinyl has been played and visually graded. Overall on both records there are some light surface scratches. I would say about eight in all. They are very light and do not affect play at all. There are NO deep scratches that affect play. There are no skips, bumps, or background noise. There is minor spindal wear. Overall this is an EX cover and vinyl. When you play these records you will hear the beautiful sound they produce. Also I don't know if I have ever seen a better cover that still has is original luster like this one. A great item to proudly add to your collection.
