BEATLES UK – White Album, original Mono LP with spacer.

1968 PMC 7067/7068 - Apple record label.

A UK very first issue top loading Mono copy, featuring;

a. a unique opportunity to acquire a complete UK first issue mono copy complete with its original ‘photo spacer’,

b. as this is such an early copy, the text ‘An EMI recording’ does not appear on any of the record labels,

c. a very early copy with a low unique individual serial number of: No.  0035069,

d. on record label four, there are the letters ‘ K T ’ embossed around the spindle hole.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in excellent+ condition. The sleeve for its age has little in the way of ‘scuffing’ and indentations to the laminate. For its age the sleeve has four excellent sharp corners. The four opening edges of the sleeve are crisp and clean. The double album gatefold sleeve has an excellent glossy laminate. On the front it has an embossed Beatles logo and a unique individual SERIAL Number of: No. 0035069, this number appears clear and bold. To the rear there is NO small ‘Stereo’ text proving this to be a genuine MONO sleeve. The spine is in excellent++ condition and is one of the best condition spines I have seen, it has remained an excellent clean white and all the text can be read. The sleeve features two visible flipbacks when the sleeve is opened, these flipbacks are all excellent and well stuck down. When the sleeve is opened it is very glossy, clean and tidy. The rear of the sleeve is also very clean and glossy. There are NO splits, tears, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue. There are some light marks to the rear of the sleeve, see photo,  but it is still very clean.

THE INNER SLEEVES: are the original ‘Apple’ black inner sleeves and have not been replaced. They have remained relatively crease free. One sleeve is in near excellent condition, with just some slight signs of some ‘fraying’ to one of the opening edges. The other sleeve is the same, in near excellent condition, with just some slight signs of some ‘fraying’ to one of the opening edges. There are NO edge splits or tears. These two original inner sleeves are in amazing condition that are known to be very fragile, I have always kept the records in two separate inner sleeve so the originals have been perfectly preserved.

THE POSTER: the original poster is in excellent+ condition. Remarkably theres NO pen writing, sellotape / residue, pin holes, blue tack residue, stickers or sticker residue. Theres not even any sign of wear to the folds, a near perfect condition poster. There are some light age related marks on the poster. 

THE PHOTOS: the original four photos are in excellent+ condition. The photos have excellent sharp corners and the rear for the photos have remained an excellent fresh white. The photos are made from the original thick card. This album even comes with its original paper ‘spacer, these were normally discarded, the spacer is in excellent condition. Theres NO pen writing, sellotape / residue, pin holes, blue tack residue, stains, tears, stickers or sticker residue.

THE VINYL: side one is in  excellent+ condition, side two is in very good+ condition, with just some light marks, side three is in near excellent condition and side four is in very good++ condition. The records are made of the original ‘thick / heavy’ vinyl and have remained very dark  and glossy.

The matrix nos. are:   XEX   709 – 1,  XEX  710 - 1, XEX  711 - 1 and  XEX 712 - 1.

The mother / stampers are: very early ‘ 1  G R ’,  ‘ 2  P ’, very early  ‘ 1   A  ’ and ‘ 6   P D ’.

THE AUDIO: is near excellent, the records play well with some light dusty crackle heard here and there and the odd light ‘tick’. Each record lays flat on the turntable.

THE LABELS: are in excellent condition. As this is a very first issue two of the labels feature the original DARK green Apple colours. All the labels show the text ‘Sold in the UK’ etc, the George and Ringo songs are listed as ‘Apple Publishing’. As already mentioned NONE of the labels have the text ‘An EMI Recording’. The labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

PACKING  -  ALL RECORDS ARE POSTED WITH MULTI LAYERED CARD STIFFENERS FOR PROTECTION.BEFORE POSTING, THE RECORD IS REMOVED FROM THE RECORDS ORIGINAL INNER AND OUTER SLEEVES, THE RECORD IS THEN PUT INTO A SECOND PAPER INNER SLEEVE TO MINIMISE ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY OCCUR WHILE IN TRANSIT. THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
