This the original, 1962 UK 1st pressing of The Beatles 7inch single "Love Me Do"
B Side is "P.S. I Love You"
Arguably The Beatles's rarest and certainly most sought after single
This record is on the Red Parlophone record label, number 45-R 4949 and comes complete with original Parlophone sleeve

This is the rarer 1st pressing variant, complete with silver printed text, a "push out" centre, M & T tax code on the side 2 label, with "The Parlophone Co Ltd" and "Recording first published 1962" label texts, but NO "Sold In UK" or "Made In Great Britain" text
The condition of the vinyl is GOOD : much of the original sheen has been retained but there are surface scuffs and scratches which are clearly visible. Thankfully all of these blemishes are surface only since the quality of the audio is VERY GOOD : there is, inevitably for vinyl of this age, some mild background crackle, but only really noticeable at the beginning of each side; there are no "clicks", jumps or skips and the overall audio quality remains a delight.
The record labels are both VERY GOOD - there is some minor surface spindle wear in evidence around the centre hole but the only other blemish are the initials "RK" which have been faintly written onto the side 1 label (see photo) . The "M" and "T" tax codes on side 2 are clearly visible.
The outer, original Prlophone sleeve is also in GOOD+ condition - there is some creasing clearly in evidence but the sleeve does nonetheless remain fully functional.
Overall the condition of this rare, and increasingly highly sought after 49 year old gem is GOOD + : not near mint or excellent, however, so if you're looking for a perfect/near mint copy (do they exist?!) then don't bid. But a very presentable and certainly very listenable copy of this increasingly rare gem nonetheless.

Excellent Description: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. Very Good Description: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. Good Description: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.Fair
Description: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
Poor Description: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing. Bad Description: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
