BEATLES STEREO LP ' REVOLVER - ONE EMI BOX LOGO ' 1969 '
In 1969, for the FIRST TIME since 1963, PARLOPHONE/EMI re-designed their record labels from the traditional Black and Yellow Parlophone to Black and Silver Parlophone, with a ONE BOX EMI logo. This one box logo is printed to the bottom portion of the record label on both sides.
The album was issued as a SMALL BATCH only with ‘The Gramophone Co Ltd’ label rim, encircled ‘P’ date 1966, and ‘Made in Gt Britain’ together with the ONE EMI Box to the bottom of the label. (Please note that the Vinyl weight is the same HEAVY QUALITY to that of the earlier 1966 release. In addition, the machine stamped matrix numbers are the same as for the original 1966 version.
Please note that track 6, side 2 record label reads ‘I GOT TO GET YOU INTO MY LIFE’ and the same track listed on the reverse of the sleeve reads ‘GOT TO GET YOU INTO MY LIFE’ (omitting the ‘I’).
Both record labels are in IMPRESSIVE excellent condition – CLEAN, UNWORN set of record labels showing no more than a few light centre spider trails.
Both sides of the Vinyl Disc are in STRONG excellent condition – BRIGHT, CLEAN Vinyl surfaces showing just a few light, inaudible, surface hairlines.
Side 1 Matrix is: YEX 605-1 and side 2: YEX 606-1. Side 1 stampers: 4/TL and Side 2: 4 /HPThe album plays SUPERBLY through ALL the tracks, with no skips or clicks.
The Vinyl LP comes in a white polythene lined ‘Made in Gt Britain’ inner bag which is in UNDAMAGED condition, NO seam splits or tearing, just mild creasing.
….And is housed in its ORIGINAL, LAMINATED, GARROD and LOFTHOUSE Picture Sleeve with THREE fold over flip backs to the reverse, with the same artwork and style as the original 1966 release.
The Original Garrod & Lofthouse Laminated Sleeve is in very good ++ excellent condition, a LOVELY BRIGHT, FIRM, CLEAN sleeve, GLOSSY front panel, with just a couple of small light corner bruises to the bottom two corners, one a little more than the other ( see pics ) The reverse of the sleeve is CLEAN, FIRM and NO damage to the three flip backs.
A VERY NICE example of this BRIEFLY ISSUED 1969 EMI/PARLOPHONE, UK Release. HARD TO FIND title on this ONE EMI BOX label format!
