Description
Lud Gluskin et son Jazz play Fats Waller's "Whiteman Stomp" and "Ramona" (a waltz) on Pathe 8569. Joe Kreklow takes a fine piano solo.
Eddie Ritten, Julien Porret (tp); Emile Christian (tb,bassax); Gene Prendergast, Merrow Bodge (cl,as); Billy Bartholomew (as,cl,sop); Joe Kreklow (p); John W. Castellucci (bj,vln); Fred Zierer (vln); Arthur Pavoni (tu); Ted Goebel (d); Lud Gluskin (ldr). Recorded in Paris on July 6, 1928. It's the first Gluskin recording with ex-ODJB trombonist Emile Christian.
This 11-1/2 inch record is in E condition and comes in its original 11-1/2" Pathe sleeve. It plays very well, and may play better still after a wash. Please note that this record is vertically recorded and therefore requires special playback equipment.
I'm a longtime collector who is downsizing. I know how to pack records.
