 SPECIFICS

PCS 7096 (STEREO)

MATRICES:  YEX.773-2U / YEX774-2U

THIS GENUINE 1st PRESSING HAS THE 2U/2U MATRICES WHICH ARE ONLY FEATURED ON THE ORIGINAL FIRST PRESSING BOX SET.

The outer cover is in good condition with some edge and corner wear.  There is a slight crease on the right hand side and one of the corners where the join is has some creasing.

The inner tray shows signs of wear with some creasing and rubbing and there are three small tears at the edges of two of the folds.  The other folded part which holds the book is still dark with a bit of creasing.  The whole inner tray has survived the years in pretty good condition considering it's so flimsy.

The record cover is in very good condition with a tiny bit of edge wear on one corner of the open side, and some very small creases but it looks crisp and good.  I've seen new album covers in the shops in worse condition never mind one that's nearly 40 years old.  It has the red apple of the first pressing on the back.

The inner sleeve is almost pristine as you can see from the photos of the two sides.

The book has a small creased area at the back top edge and a couple of small creases to the back cover.  One of the pages with a picture of Paul McCartney has a tiny crease about a quarter of an inch from the corner which was turned over.  Otherwise it's in lovely condition, the spine is perfect and the front cover is virtually blemish free.

The record itself has some minor surface wear but is still  glossy on both sides and looks good.  I have played both sides and it plays perfectly on my old stereo system.  It lies flat with no warping, lumps or bumps anywhere.  I must point out that the green label has a tiny bit missing in the middle by the hole (see photo's) and it has some marks which look like someone has scribbled on it, I think they've been caused by the stylus, you can only see them in certain lights.

I think any buyer will be very pleased with the condition and overall appearance of this very desirable and much sought after box set.

I have tried to be fair, honest and list all the faults as I see them in my description but please remember that my good, very good or pristine may not be the same as yours, we all have a different view of things.  This item is nearly 40 years old and is not in perfect condition so please don't expect it to be so.
