Please read the Terms and Conditions lower in the listing about payment, postage costs and insurance BEFORE placing a bid. Thank you.

I am happy to answer any questions, but please read the listing carefully before sending a question or placing a bid. I try to provide comprehensive details and information in every listing so the answers to most questions should be found below.

During five years of trading on ebay, I have received around 1300 positive feedbacks from over 900 individual customers, almost all from the sale of vinyl records.

I take great pride in ensuring that my records are always described accurately and fairly. All my items come with a money-back guarantee - if it's not as described, you can return it for a full refund.

UK Bidders please note. P&P is NOT free. This item weighs nearly 1.5Kg when packed and will be sent fully insured. Costs appear at the bottom of the listing. Thank you.

This is a lovely original copy of the Let it Be box set complete with 1st press vinyl and original Get Back book. Everything is original.

The record has the red apple logo on the back cover and 2U/2U matrixes, but it also has the incredibly rare KT tax code clearly embossed on the side two label.

Everything is the 1970 original. There have been a few small touch ups and repairs which I will cover in detail below, but there are none of the modern 'reproductions' which many copies on ebay seem to have these days (I will leave it to the winning bidder to decide whether they wish to replace any of the original parts with modern copies).

Detailed description
Box outer sleeve: The outer sleeve is nice and clean with light signs of use. There is a horizontal crease near the top of the rear, some light oxbow laminate creases and slight wear/feathering along the exposed edges. The top and bottom of the sleeve have been neatly re-inforced with sticky tape and there has been some 'touching up' to wear at the corners. Unlike most copies it has retained its shape and shows no signs of crushing or flattening - it sits nice and square even when the inside trays are removed. This is the original Garrod and Lofthouse sleeve made in Great Britain and is the genuine 1970 article, not a modern reproduction.

Box outer tray: The bottom outer tray is complete and intact with just typical signs of age and use. There is wear along the edges and in particular at the corners, and a sticky tape repair on the inside of a small (1cm) tear but no significant issues or damage. The outer tray is the genuine 1970 article. It is not a modern reproduction.

Box inner tray: The inner tray, which holds the book in place has a bit of damage which has been repaired. In the photographs the bottom section has been replaced (the small tears show the extent of the repair) and the corresponding tears at the top have been repaired from the inside with sticky tape. Other than this there are just some creases. Apart from the small repaired section at the bottom, the inner tray is the genuine 1970 article. It is not a modern reproduction.

Get Back book: The original book is nice and clean with no damage, writing, splits, tears or stickers etc and just typical signs of use. There is slight wear to the edges and corners, a few oxbow laminate creases to the cover and a couple of creases to the corners of the rear cover. The spine is straight and unbroken and all the pages are fully intact.

Vinyl: The vinyl looks superb and has retained its original high sheen. It has clearly been well cared for. Under bright light just a few fine hairlines and light scuffs were visible on either side, but absolutely nothing significant or which looks like it will cause any problems.

Labels: Both labels look great with absolutely no signs of damage, writing, stickers etc. There is typical light spindle marking around the spindle holes and a bit of wear near the hole on side one. Side two clearly shows the KT tax code.

Sleeve: The sleeve is nice and clean with no writing, splits, stickers etc and just typical signs of use. There is creasing on either side near the opening (most noticeable on the front) and some corner creases (most noticeable on the rear). There is a very small (5mm) tear at the opening to the front, and this opening has been re-inforced from the inside with sticky tape which cannot be seen from the outside. There is just a little ring wear which is visible as a slight dulling in the lamination.
Edge wear: There is minimal edge wear, apart from a small section at the centre of the bottom which has been neatly repaired and is hardly noticeable.
Corner wear: There is moderate wear at the corners which may have been touched up.

Inner sleeve: Plain

Detracting features not covered above - none.

Information about descriptions.
My records are always described accurately and fairly. I always do my best to point out any blemishes which might detract from the item and all photographs are of the actual item you will get.

Visually-graded vinyl: Unless stated in the listing, vinyl is visually graded. I play grade records where possible but I don't have time to play them all, so I usually restrict play grades to collectors' items and rare records. A visual grading will identify physical flaws (such as scratches) and will determine whether a record has been cared-for properly, but it will not detect noise or crackle caused by non-visible sources. A visual grading will provide an indication of how a record may play, but it is not a guarantee of the record's sound quality. Most of the records I sell are between thirty and fifty years old and so it is likely that there may be some background noise even if they look perfect.

Play-graded vinyl: I will always state in the listing if I have played a record prior to describing it. When I play a record I listen to it carefully through headphones, taking notes of any noise, clicks, distortion etc and play it all the way through (unless stated otherwise). I have two record decks and one is more sensitive than the other to any physical flaws on the record surface. Records are always played on the sensitive deck first and the notes for the audio performance are taken from that deck. If this play-through detects any jumps or sticks those sections of the disk will be re-played on the less-sensitive deck to see whether they happen on that too.

First pressings and originals: Many of the records I sell are first pressings and, if this is the case, I will usually identify them as such and may include the relevant matrix information etc in the description. However, sometimes I cannot be certain whether a record is a first pressing or not. In these instances I will often use the word 'original' to identify a pressing which I think might be a first pressing, but do not know for sure (but which is certainly NOT a recent pressing or audiophile release etc). If you specifically want a first pressing, and know how to identify it, please ask the relevant questions before you bid.

Feel free to ask any questions about the item (but please don’t leave it to the last minute as I may not get a chance to reply).

POSTAGE & PACKING

I care about the records I sell and believe that they need to be carefully and securely packaged to ensure that they survive their journey through the post. Vinyl is removed from the sleeve for posting and the contents will be protected with rigid cardboard stiffeners. All packages are labelled "Do not bend" and securely sealed with "FRAGILE" parcel tape.

I support the use of recycled materials and so some or all of the packaging you receive your records in may have been previously used or be made from old cardboard boxes. If you wish your item to be sent in entirely new packaging please let me know before paying for it. Thanks.

This item weighs nearly 1.5Kg when packed and will only be sent fully insured. It does not qualify for my usual multiple item postage discounts. Thank you.
