Description
In March, 1964, Capital Records released a single by The Beatles titled "Can't Buy Me Love", backed with "You Can't Do That", catalog number 5150. For the picture sleeve, Capital used the exact same picture that it used for the "I Want To Hold Your Hand" single just 2 months earlier. Well, for all of the Beatlemaniacs, especially the girls, this was not a great marketing idea. So, therefore, not nearly as many of these picture sleeves were sold as there were 2 months previous. This of course means that much fewer picture sleeves made their way into public circulation and this is why this is the rarest U.S. issued Beatles picture sleeve, ever! This picture sleeve is strictly graded as VG+ with the following issues: A-side...Original "Grand Way" 74 cents price sticker (not a defect), a squiggly 2-1/4" crease across Paul's chest toward Ringo, an ink smear on the word "Me" downward about an inch across the "A" in the word "That", small white spots on George's hair & teeth, Ringo's hair, next to John's head & shoulder and between Paul and Ringo (these appear to be a manufacturers defect), a small light brown spot on bottom-left corner, both bottom corners slightly wrinkled, NO writing and NO splits. B-side....An ink smear on the word "Do" downward across the word "Love", a tiny light brown spot next to the Capital logo along the edge and a tiny ink smear on Paul's tie. NO writing. Also, it appears that the upper-right corner next to the price sticker was pressed slightly inward instead of flat. I started to fix this but left it alone because if anybody can screw it up, I can! These are all very minor issues, however, some people are much pickier than others, so, I must mention everything. The record...The record is a 1st press 45 with "music" in the publishing credits, strictly graded at VG++..........................According to Ebay policy, we accept PAYPAL ONLY.
