BBC Transcription Service - Johnny Dankworth & His Orchestra 7 & 8 - 102117/8
Rare vinyl with an original printed expiry date 4.12.1963 of Big Band Jazz music performed by Johnny Dankworth & His Orchestra.
Side 1 (7) has three visually alarming surface scratches (which do not cause any significant problems) but is otherwise  cosmetically very good. The scratches towards the centre are occasionally audible but there are no skips. A longer mark from edge to centre, which I couldn't photograph well, is on the whole just cosmetic.
Side 2 (8) is very good but there are some skips in the first few minutes of this side from a short hairline scratch about an inch long.
Labels on both sides of the vinyl have been written on and the paper sleeve with polythene lining is also marked and slightly tatty.
Apart from the defects mentioned above the album can be enjoyed and sounds very good - but expect surface noise and some crackles and pops from a played album @60 years old.
