Rare US pressing of British powerpop classic from 1982. Born in unique picture sleeve. Their first and best LP release goes by the title DROP OUT WITH THE BARRACUDAS. Although based in London the band were lead by Canadian vocalist Jeremy Gluck. With the band is also Nick Turner, who left the band in 1981, shortly after the release of this debut LP to join Stiv Bators (DEAD BOYS), Brian James (DAMNED) and Dave Treganna (SHAM 69) in LORDS OF THE NEW CHURCH.You are bidding on the rare ‘Made In USA’ release, issued on ‘Voxx’ records. All in all you can listen to 14 perfect tracks. ‘Summer Fun’ includes pure summertime melodies, a true powerpop stomper, which starts with a great spoken intro and many ba-ba-ba-ba voices. Also ‘On The Strip’ / ‘I Wish It Could Be 1965 Again’ / ‘Somebody’ / ‘California Lament / ‘Don’t Let Go’ and ‘Codeine’ are excellent surf-powerpop tracks which include all elements you could hope for and more. Don’t miss this classic.

Ebenso werden alle Platten entsprechend stabil in speziellen Schallplatten-Versandkartons mit zwei dicken Pappkartons verpackt (all records will be shipped in special LP record mailers, two cardboard paddings (the best) will be used to avoid bending).
