Aunt Cynthia's Cabin Misty Woman Vinyl Mojave Midnight
Misty Woman , the hit debut album from Aunt Cynthia’s Cabin returns on vinyl through Black Throne Productions for its third repress, bringing back the San Diego trio’s blend of heavy psych, desert rock, and surf-inspired psychedelic twang. The album itself is built on dusty guitar tones, and an almost glowing, psychedelic sort of surf rock atmosphere. It’s a unique pairing which is balanced with a heavy charm that defines the band’s sound. Misty Woman is highly recommended for any fans of All Them Witches, Dead Meadow, The Black Angels and The Ventures.
Misty Woman was originally released as the band’s debut full-length, and it captures Aunt Cynthia’s Cabin experimenting and flirting with the lines between desert rock, garage psych, and vintage surf influences.
The record was created around the idea of working with the tools that were available at the time, keeping the process focused on the songs rather than chasing a polished studio feel. The result is a record that feels like it belongs on a late-night drive through empty highways, somewhere between the coastline and the desert.
