Some records exist because they can. Others exist because they needed to.

Echo In The Canyon is a love letter to Laurel Canyon—the stretch of Los Angeles that forever changed popular music through artists like The Byrds, Buffalo Springfield, The Beach Boys, The Mamas & the Papas, Crosby, Stills & Nash, and countless others. Rather than simply documenting that era, this soundtrack lets today’s legends step inside it.

The result is one of the most remarkable collaborative soundtracks of the last decade.

Tom Petty (in one of his final filmed musical performances), Brian Wilson, Ringo Starr, Eric Clapton, Neil Young, Stephen Stills, David Crosby, Graham Nash, Roger McGuinn, Jackson Browne, Fiona Apple, Beck, Norah Jones, Regina Spektor, Cat Power, Josh Homme, and Jakob Dylan all come together to celebrate the music that gave birth to the California Sound.

Offered here is the original 2019 U.S. pressing, factory sealed, exactly as it left the factory.

Highlights include inspired performances of classics like “In My Room” featuring Fiona Apple, “Questions” with Eric Clapton and Stephen Stills, “Goin’ Back” featuring Beck, “Never My Love” with Norah Jones, and “I Just Wasn’t Made for These Times” featuring Neil Young—each honoring the originals while bringing something unmistakably new.
