Description

 

I specialize in lost, atmospheric, and hypnotic 45s. Grading is done conservatively, visually. Check unaltered sound clips. I currently have a number of cool soul, popcorn, Latin, rockabilly, garage, R&B, country, surf, blues, funk, psychedelic, sunshine pop, mod, lounge, exotica, heavy rock, modern soul, gospel, swamp pop, Cajun, Tejano, metal, townie rock, song poem, punk, power pop, and oddball and unclassifiable instrumental 45 obscurities up for grabs. I've also listed some really fantastic and scarce garage band 45s from Texas this week.

CONDITION: Strong G+ (Nice player, good gloss with typical scuffs and scratches from unsleeved storage. Stickers and label wear as pictured.)

Beautiful and very obscure Fortune Records 45 from 1955, an exotic, jazzy, low-key rumba with Fortune's ever-inadvertent atmospheric studio sound. Pianist, vocalist, and bandleader Cortez and his Latin groups played Detroit in the 1950s. Flip is a melancholic jazz club crooner, also quite atmospheric. A fascinating artifact, and scarce.
