Art Blakey & The Jazz Messengers A NIGHT IN TUNISIA 2LP 45 RPM SEALED! SUPER LOW #145! A hard bop classic, among the first set of titles that Music Matters issued to launch it's spectacular Blue Note series. Featuring Lee Morgan and Wayne Shorter - inarguably, one of the best lineups of the Messengers. Now's your chance to get this out of print rarity at a fair market price!
Condition: There is a small dent in the upper left corner (please see picture 4). This is the only flaw that prevents me from characterizing the LP as mint.
ABOUT 45 RPM PRESSINGS While some folks don't like the 45 RPM format (yes, you do have to get up and change sides more often), it's not hype: with more vinyl real estate for your stylus to operate within, volume levels are maintained consistently across all tracks (with 33 1/3, as you get closer to the inner groove you will lose volume because the grooves get smaller), and there's LOTS more room for the bass frequencies. A mastering engineer has to juggle all these factors, usually leading to certain compromises, when pressing at 33 1/3. The common wisdom in the audiophile community is that, when done well, 45 rpm pressings are as close as you'll get to the master tape.
